Edelweiss Ride4Fun Tours
Edelweiss Ride4Fun Tours
When taking a motorcycle tour away from home, it’s always fun and excitement that we are after. This is the focus of RIDE4FUN: Tours that show you exciting scenery, are fun to ride, and acquaint you with the way people think and live in the places we are touring.
Our hotels have local flavour and are not over the top in price or amenities. You ride in a group, with one tour guide on the bike in front. Or you ride in your own little group finding your own secret path; it’s up to you! Breakfast and some dinners are part of the package, but we go to different places for lunch and most dinners. Important to you and to us is your choice of the best bike for the trip. There is a good selection of motorcycles waiting for you. You must feel good on your steed! It’s a younger group of motorcyclists that joins RIDE4FUN tours.
There is a lot to see during the riding day, but the evening is there to be enjoyed as well – local flavour in people, food and more. RIDE4FUN groups are international, so you learn more about motorcycling in other parts of the world as you mingle and make new friends overseas! Your one-week supply of shirts, socks and your toothbrush go on your bike; it’s easy with the luggage cases provided. It’s a real motorcycle tour! Your RIDE4FUN tour guides are ready to ride and have fun with you!

Adriatic Roller Coaster (4SC)
IT'S NEW, IT'S HOT - IT MAY BE FOR YOU! There are many perfect motorcycling countries worldwide, but only a few offer as much diversity as Slovenia and Croatia. Starting in Klagenfurt, Austria, right at the border to Slovenia our ride takes us through the Karawanken and Julian Alps, where we get an idea what this tour will be like. Motorcycling at its best combined with spectacular scenery and Mediterranean flair. Opatija, a small and beautiful town on the Adriatic Sea, will be our host for the next two days. This will give us enough time to discover the beautiful Croatian coastline with its crocket roads. From Opatija our route will take us through the northern Balkan Mountains to one of the top highlights of this tour. The UNESCO World Heritage Site Plitvice Lake National Park is next on our list. With its amazing lakes and waterfalls this park is worth a visit by itself and you’ll have plenty of time to discover this wonderland. On the last two riding days we’ll make our way back through the mountains of Croatia and Slovenia with their countless sweepers, beautiful valleys and breathtaking scenery. Enjoy a full week of unforgettable riding. |

Alps Extreme (4AE)
IT'S NEW, IT'S HOT - IT MAY BE FOR YOU! For many years, 30 to be exact, we have toured the Alps, the most attractive motorcycling region on our planet. All this time, we saw areas, routes, mountain huts where we wanted to go, but did not dare because of the riding and lodging conditions; we thought they were too tough for our Edelweiss motorcyclists from around the world. We know there are riders, who want to experience those bigger challenges. So, we designed a Ride4Fun tour that meets all these longings: Tough riding, long days, challenging roads, riding up to the top and spending the nights in mountain chalets above the tree line, where the view is unobstructed all the way to the glaciers, the pastures and the moon and the stars. As all Ride4Fun tours run without a luggage van, we carry our valued belongings on the bike, the usual way for touring people. We start in Munich, Germany, drive into Austria’s Tyrol, riding further south to South Tyrol in Italy and then back through East Tyrol to Munich. We cross famous Alpine passes like Stelvio and then take hidden, very narrow, very challenging passes like Plätzwiesensattel, which you’ll remember the same way you’ll recall staying at mountain huts close to the glaciers. Here we breathe Alpine air and history like we’ve never done before! |

Southern Spain (4SS)
IT'S NEW, IT'S HOT - IT MAY BE FOR YOU! Andalusia is home to all the stereotypes of Spain: bullfights, golden beaches, Flamenco, white villages nestled on the mountainside, cavedwellings, colorful fiestas, religious processions, tapas and sherry bodegas. But the area is also rich in history, art, architecture, nature preserves and a relaxed way of life. This tour of the most Spanish province on the Iberian Peninsula offers a unique blend of riding pleasure, magnificent landscape and cultural highlights seasoned with the charming Spanish way of life. Most tourists are attracted to the big cities and the Costa de Sol, but many jewels wait to be discovered in remote corners of the backcountry. The layouts of the roads offer everything from nice sweepers to really tight switchbacks. There is riding for all skill levels. We start our riding through the Sierra de Ronda, where we’ll spend two days with great riding in bull country. From Grazalema, one of the famous white villages of Spain, our route leads us east on small and curvy roads to visit another „must-see“ in Andalusia. The famous town of Granada with the famed UNESCO World Heritage Site Alhambra awaits us in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada, which with their sweepers and scenery are also a highlight for every motorcyclist. You won’t believe how fast this week of excellent motorcycling will be over and your memories will stay with you forever. |

The Heart of Italy (4IT)
IT'S NEW, IT'S HOT - IT MAY BE FOR YOU! No motorcyclist should miss this tour through the heart of Italy. It is a tour for the senses, euphoria spiked with culture, riding and culinary highlights. Tuscany, Umbria and the Marche are great for motorcycling as well as sightseeing. Florence alone is worth the trip! Your better half will love it! Starting in Florence our route goes south. Small and curvy roads will tak us through the famous Chianti region. Of course, we’ll visit Sienna before we reach our next overnight stop in Perugia, a lively and typical Italian town where we’ll spend two nights. That way, we’ll have enough time to discover all the magic sweepers and sights Umbria has to offer its visitors and get a whiff of Italian nightlife. Our next destination is Urbino in the Marche, birth town of famous Renaissance artist Raphael. Nestled in the middle of the Apennine Mountains, Urbino is located in one of Italy’s best motorcycle regions. Here was the playground of young Valentino Rossi, and not without a reason. Countless twisties, smallest roads and no traffic leave nothing to be missed, while we make our way back to Florence on the last riding day. What an impression! You’ll fall in love with this tour and you can rest assured that your heartstrings will pull you back. |
